Mug Making Class
Duration: 2 hours
Difficulty: easy
Age: Mature teens (16+), Adults
This class is great for those who want to try out hand building without committing to a course. This is not a class where you use the pottery wheel.
In this single session you will learn the basics of how to create a hand-built mug. This class includes 2 hours of hands on instruction and does not include instruction on trimming or finishing pieces, including glazing. You are encouraged to fully customize your mug including shape of the handle, using stamps and by attaching sculpted items. We will fire, and glaze your creations for you based on your choices and glazes available. Class size is limited. If you would like to learn trimming and glazing, we suggest joining our monthly courses!
Pieces will be available for pick up 3-6 weeks after your class date. We will only hold them for up to 30 days after you are notified. Click here to learn more about our process.
Doors open 5 minutes before the start of class. Please check the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)for your questions prior to reaching out.
Please wear clothing and shoes that you don’t mind getting mud on, we provide aprons! Please take the necessary precautions if you have any cuts or abrasions on your hands, and try to have short nails- handbuilding is more forgiving with longer nails and will be easier than Wheel Throwing if you keep your claws all-year round!
Attendees who arrive late may not be able to complete project and miss out on intro.
Workshops are non-refundable and rescheduling is only possible within one hour of booking.
