✨ Dive into clay and bring your ideas to life. This 4-week course is perfect for beginners looking to learn the foundations of ceramics in a structured, hands-on setting.
🚫 This is not a class where you use the wheel—everything is built entirely by hand.
🎨 What you’ll learn each week:
🧱 Week 1: Clay basics + studio etiquette (wedging, tools, storing work)
🏺 Week 2: Continue to build your pieces using pinch, slab, and coil techniques
✂️ Week 3: Refine your work + trimming and attachments (handles, details)
🎨 Week 4: Glazing your finished pieces
👩🏫 Taught by a skilled instructor who will guide you through each step of the process.
🏺 What you can make:
• Multiple handbuilt pieces like small plates, platters, mugs, or sculptural items
• OR a couple larger pieces such as a vase or planter
👥 Class size: 5–10 students for a supportive, hands-on experience
🌱 Great starting point before Wheel Throwing—build a strong understanding of tools, clay behavior, and technique
🔑 Bonus: Signing up gives you access to our membership waitlist to continue your clay journey
